WELCOME TO MY HOME PAGE
As many of you already know, I formally retired from the University as
of May 31, 2005. It has been my privilege to share my love (and,
hopefully, some useful knowledge) of American government and its
politics with nearly 10,000 Northeastern students over the past 35
years. I thank all of my former students for that
honor. I thank my colleagues both in the Department of
Political Science and throughout the university for their support and
for their dedication to teaching, research and service.
I will be continuing to fight for Illinois public universities as I
continue in my role as Executive Vice-President of the University
Professionals of Illinois
(www.upilocal4100.org), with special responsibility for its political
and legislative affairs.
I will leave this page up as long as I am permitted. I hope you
