  Comments: Star 105.5 is a radio station for the McHenry and surrounding counties. The station plays top 40 songs from the 80's & 90's. The main page has links to upcoming events, meeting the staff, daily news, contests and much more. Every y ear around July 4th the city of Crystal Lake has an event called "America's Cardboard Boat Regatta". Some of my college buddies and I have competed in this event for the past six years and have won the coveted "Most Spectaular Sinking Award" three years running. This year we plan to compete again. The event is a fun time the weekend before the fourth of July. Star 105 radio personality Gary "The Bagel Guy" and I have had this friendly rivalry for five years and all who have attended the event know of our friendly rivalry. This makes for fun had by all at the event.
