Sixth Grade class at Otis is our Classroom of the Week 11/27!

Room 402 at James Otis School has been studying dinosaurs and fossils for the past few months. This sixth grade class has enjoyed learning about what it takes to go on a dinosaur expedition to the Sahara Desert. While learning the history and geography of dinosaur expeditions, these students have also had experience digging their own `fossils' from rocks. At the moment they are creating their own dinosaur and fossil books. These books will contain information learned from reading various sources. Also, these books will be written in two languages, English and Spanish. At the end of the unit, the students of 402 will donate their newly made books to a first grade bilingual classroom (Room 206). Later in the year, the sixth graders will mentor the first graders in their study of dinosaurs.
