SCHEDULED MEETINGS FOR DECLARATION OF A MAJOR IN
PSYCHOLOGY, OR A MINOR IN PSYCHOLOGY OR GERONTOLOGY:
ALL HELD IN ROOM S‑305 on the dates and times posted
below. Bring with you:
1) ballpoint pen
2) declaration form (if doing
this in conjunction with another department), or we will provide it
3) * NEIU Evaluation of Transfer Credits form (if any psych
courses are on it). If you do not have
the transfer courses list,
come to a later meeting;
your credits cannot be processed without it.
4) NEIU unofficial transcript (only if any psych or psych transfer courses are on it)
5) a folder or notebook to
hold your old and new paperwork
Meetings start at the posted times, and will not be re-started for
latecomers.
The agenda will consist of:
1) Distribution
of forms and misc. paper handouts and instructional/information sheets.
The bulk of later information you will be responsible
to download from the Psychology Student Info Blackboard site.
2) approx 15-20 minutes of
general information and instructions
3) question and answer period
4) individual conferences
with each student, by order of arrival in the room, wherein your department
major/minor chart will be created, transfer courses evaluated, and assignment
to a department faculty advisor.
* If you have an exceptional case, of unusual or
extraordinary transfer courses, or other unique requests, you may be requested
to submit course descriptions and/or transcripts, in writing, to the department
for review by the dept. curriculum committee.
