Welcome to the Chicago Teachers' Center School Partner pages! The growing partnership between the Chicago Teachers' Center, an academic unit within the College of Education at Northeastern Illinois University, and Project Exploration is part of a major professional development initiative for teachers.

This professional development sequence began with several content rich, inquiry based curriculum development seminars offered in Spring, 2000. One of these Seminars was conducted by Paul Sereno and Gabrielle Lyon. Teachers developed curriculum during the seminar and have just begun implementation with their students. Some classrooms are emailing questions to the team and others are writing letters. Whatever the method of communication, students, teachers and parents alike are excited to be connecting with the Expedition this fall. We look forward to continuing our partnership activities when the team returns.
